Description:

21st Century Research Awards are designed to support research projects with a high probability of generating new knowledge and insights. Research Award program areas include:

• Studying Complex Systems
• Brain Cancer Research

Projects submitted for funding consideration should be at an early, even preliminary stage of development, and should be intended to break new ground or to challenge commonly-held assumptions.

Eligibility:

Researchers with current grant support from JSMF are not eligible to apply to the foundation for continued support of ongoing research.

Amount awarded:

A maximum of US$450,000 total costs can be requested and the funds can be expended over a minimum of 3 years or a maximum of 6 years.

Indirect cost recovery:

This scheme is exempt from University of Sydney indirect costs.
