Description:
The National Marfan Foundation (NMF) is requesting applications for one- and two-year grants for basic or clinical research on the Marfan syndrome. The NMF’s grant program is designed to provide financial support for investigators studying any or all disciplines involved in the Marfan syndrome. Special areas of interest are basic research, translational studies and clinical studies in the following areas:
- cardiovascular,
- orthopaedic and
- ophthalmologic
- issues of the Marfan syndrome.
Eligibility:
The principal investigator must hold an MD, DO, PhD, ScD, DDS, DVM or equivalent degree.
Amount awarded:
Budgets for up to, but not exceeding, US$50,000 for one year or US$100,000 for two years are acceptable.

Indirect cost recovery:
This scheme is exempt from University of Sydney indirect costs.
