Description:

Nominations are invited for the Royal Society of Victoria Medal for Scientific Research 2011 in Category III: Earth Sciences. This category includes research in the disciplies of Geology, Geochemistry, Geochronology, Geophysics, Planetary Physics, Meteorology, Oceanography, Physical Geography and related sciences. Nominations must be submitted by close of business 31 March 2011.

The medal will be awarded solely on the basis of research work published and/or accepted for publication in referred international journals during the six year period from 1 January 2005 to 31 December 2010.

The work shall have been carried out in Australia (including its territories), or on Australia (Victoria is preferred.)
