Description:

The AAR Postdoctoral Fellowships in Dementia support PhD graduates undertaking research in an area related to dementia. In 2011, three fellowships will be awarded for research commencing in 2012.

Applications will be evaluated according to the following criteria:

• The quality of the academic record and potential of the applicant
• The significance, feasibility and merit of the research proposal
• The relevance of the project to research in dementia 
• The suitability of intended supervisors and institution

Eligibility:

Be a citizen or permanent resident of Australia and been awarded (or notified of success of their application for) a PhD or equivalent degree (e.g. MD by research) in the last three years.

Amount awarded:

The fellowships are worth $50,000 per annum for two years

Indirect cost recovery:

This scheme is exempt from University of Sydney indirect costs.
