The Career Development Program offers the following awards:

Scholar

Scholars are highly qualified investigators who have shown a capacity for independent, sustained original investigation in the field of leukaemia, lymphoma, and myeloma.  Awards are for US$110,000 per year for five years.

Scholar in Clinical Research

Scholars in Clinical Research who are expected to hold independent faculty-level appointments and who are conducting original, independent applied research, often involving early-stage clinical trials which will advance the prevention, diagnosis or treatment of hematologic malignancies.  Awards are for US$110,000 per year for five years.

Special Fellow

Special Fellows are researchers who hold a Ph.D., M.D. or equivalent degree and have completed a minimum of two years of clinical haematology, oncology, haematology/oncology or hematopathology training or postdoctoral research training in a clinical discipline.  Awards are for US$65,000 per year for three years.

Fellow

Fellows are promising investigators with less than two years of postdoctoral research training.  Awards are for US$55,000 per year for three years.

Eligibility:

The Society welcomes applications from qualified investigators outside the USA; Applicants should hold a PhD, MD, DVM or equivalent degree.

Indirect cost recovery:

This scheme is subject to University of Sydney indirect costs of up to 5%.
