The John Stocker Postdoctoral Fellowships provide early career scientists with the opportunity to gain experience in order to conduct research which is or may prove to be of value to Australia. A Postdoctoral Fellowship is intended to enhance the Fellow’s research capability so that they are better able to pursue a career in science.

In 2012 six fellowships will be awarded in the following research areas:

• Combinatorial Materials Science
• Environmental Informatics
• Exploration Geoscience
• Genomics / Epigenomics
• Astronomy / Astrophysics
• Mathematics and Network Science

Amount awarded:

$92,000 per annum for 3 years towards the costs of the Postdoctoral Fellow

Indirect cost recovery:

This scheme is exempt from University of Sydney indirect costs.
