Applied Research Program

Research Areas:

Humanities & Social Sciences; Health Sciences; Sciences & Engineering

Type:

Research Grants

Description:

DVA’s Applied Research Program (ARP) commissions research that contributes to the development of improved policies and service delivery, and/or enables the Department to better identify the health and wellbeing needs of the veteran community.

DVA is looking for high quality, veteran-specific and policy-relevant research proposals from established experts in their research field and/or cross-disciplinary teams.

The ARP is not a grant scheme. It is an applied research program where the research must have a direct use to DVA policy or service delivery. Funded projects are conducted under a services agreement (contract) between DVA and the research organisation. This means that payments are made by DVA on receipt of satisfactory deliverables as specified in the contract.
