Description:

The CASS Travel Grant program is intended to assist early career researchers (ECRs) in the establishment phase of their careers.  The CASS Travel Grant program enables ECRs to attend international conferences. Applicants are expected to be presenting research as a conference presentation, platform presentation, or a poster presentation; where they are the first author. The grants are not available for travel to attend conferences being held in Australia.

Eligibility:

All applicants must be Australian Citizens or have a visa allowing them to remain permanently in Australia. CASS considers an early career researcher (ECR) to be a researcher who has had their PhD award confirmed not less than two (2) years, or more than seven (7) years, before the closing date for this round of Travel Grant applications

Amount awarded:

The maximum amount of a CASS Travel Grant that may be awarded is the lesser of $4,000 or eighty percent (80%) of the “Total Cost” as disclosed on the Application Form.
