Leukaemia Foundation PhD Scholarships for 2014
The Leukaemia Foundation's 'Vision to Cure' is actively realised in their National Research Program (NRP). The NRP seeks to foster innovative research into the causes, diagnosis and treatment of blood cancers like leukaemia, lymphoma, myeloma and related blood disorders.
The scholarships will be offered to applicants eligible to enrol in full time study and will commence in early 2014. Research funded by the Scholarship must be conducted at an Australian Institution.
Applications are invited from Australian citizens and permanent residents.
Applicants must have completed no more than one year of full-time study toward their PhD. Enrolment prior to the award of the scholarship will reduce the maximum tenure of the scholarship.
The PhD Scholarships have a total value of $40,000 ($30,000pa stipend and $10,000pa for consumables) for up to three years. The Foundation expects to offer at least five of these scholarships for 2014.
The PhD Scholarships (Clinical) have a total value of $55,000 ($45,000pa stipend and $10,000pa for consumables) for up to three years. The Foundation expects to offer at least two of these scholarships for 2014. Candidates will be expected to have completed, or almost completed, their advanced medical training in haematology.
