Australian Rotary Health Ian Scott PhD Scholarship in Mental Health

The Ian Scott Scholarship is available to postgraduate students who are undertaking full-time research for a PhD in an area of research relevant to mental health.


Applicants must be eligible to undertake study at an appropriate University or Research Institute in Australia.

Applicants must be about to commence a PhD, or be in the first year of a PhD at a University or research institute in Australia.  (Please note: the Scholarship tenure will be reduced by any periods of study undertaken towards the degree prior to the commencement of the Scholarship.) Applicants must enrol as full-time students to receive the Scholarship and must not receive any additional scholarship. 

Applicants must be Australian citizens or Australian Permanent Residents and not be under bond to any foreign government. Applicants enrolled in a combined research/coursework degree are not eligible to apply. 

Amount awarded:

$29,000 per annum for up to 3.5 years.
